The Master Gardener program is divided into two parts: instruction and service. In the first part, participants receive 40 to 50 hours of practical horticulture training. After the completion of the class portion and fulfilling the requirements, the graduates then volunteer a minimum of 40 hours of service to complete the last part of the program.
In these classes, you will learn a lot, meet new people, make new friends, volunteer at various activities and have some fun along the way.
If you would like to become a Master Gardener and sign up for the classes and learn more about the program, call Barton Joffrion at 873-6495.

You should prune modern rose varieties such as hybrid tea, floribunda, grandaflora and shrub roses at this time.
