Slash Unveils Solo Album Details
Former Guns N Roses guitarist Slash has confirmed details of his upcoming solo album.
One of the most iconic guitar players of all time, Slash has spent the fifteen years since he departed Guns N Roses wandering the world. A guitarist for hire, he later formed Velvet Revolver with several other former Axl Rose employees.
That band split in 2008, with Slash beginning work on a new solo album. Recruiting some all star backing, the Californian axe hero has spent considerable time on the tracks which feature a mouth watering cast.
Due for release in April, Slash has confirmed several details about the new album. Self-titled it will feature some true rock royalty including fellow Californian, bass player Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Also played in Thom Yorke's solo band, Flea will be joined by punk pioneer Iggy Pop on the new Slash album.
Together, the pair are joined by former Guns N Roses guitarist Duff McKagan and current Them Crooked Vultures drummer Dave Grohl. Black Sabbath singer Ozzy Osbourne will supply some guest vocals, lending his Brummie croon to the all star affair.
