Show bursting with blooms

ARARAT - The Ararat Orchid Society will this year present its 32nd annual Spring Orchid Show to the residents of Ararat and visitors to the city.

Offering visitors a dazzling display of orchids, Orchid Society members have successfully maintained an extremely high standard at their show and the plants on exhibition are representative of the many different genera of orchids grown in this area.

This plant genus has a fabulous dimension of colour and many comments from local and interstate visitors are made on the beauty, variety and delicate perfume of the orchids.

All orchids in the displays are grown by private collectors and members' presentation of orchids in 13 to 14 large individual displays should have many imaginative themes. These varying themes are the highlight of the show.

Table top and miniature displays have been an innovation and a club members' table also helps to fill the hall.

Ararat Rural City Council supports the show by erecting
