October is fast approaching and there are three educational opportunities you won't want to miss out on.
First on deck is a Professional Rain Garden Conference for those who'd like to receive a certificate showing that they've received 16 hours of education about designing and installing rain gardens. The two days covers a wealth of information on rain gardens.
This is a two-day workshop for green industry professionals covering the design and installation of rain gardens: benefits, regulations, site analysis, hydrologic modeling, materials specifications, maintenance and special attention to how to market these Low Impact Development (LID) features to your clients.
The class is available for a total of 10 Certified Professional Horticulturist (CPH) credits and presented by WSU Extension Kitsap. A database of businesses that have completed the training will be compiled to provide to homeowners and small business owners in Kitsap County who are seeking to hire professional firms for rain garden projects.
