Although the exterminator did a spider sweep when he was at my house, he forgot the bushes. I like spiders most of the time but having broken through a web as I left home, it was not fun a way down the road to discover a fat, brown creature on my sleeve. Yech, I have him a shake and hoped he'd find another bush away from the traffic. Fall is a time for spiders festooned outside the windows. Enjoy it.
However, did it happen that we have a pancake supper without my knowing about it? No doubt the same way that I didn't know the burning ban had been lifted until it was over for three days. Pancakes are always on my list - mostly for meeting my neighbors. And I learned later that a special friend, Jim, was there. Darn. I look forward to the Spring Kiwanis event.
Put the Methodist Holiday Bazaar on your date book for Nov. 19, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. We think it's the best one in town with the greatest luncheon. There is also a raffle of a quilt made by our own quilter, par excellence - Carol. Also offered are a ladies gold watch and a men's automatic watch.
