All are colorful, eclectic and random, and most demonstrate a sly sense of humor while paying due deference to the season.
On display through Jan. 6, the Parade of Trees is lit each evening at dusk.
“Christmas On Walnut”
The Parade of Trees and the Christmas parade are part of Green Cove’s annual “Christmas On Walnut,” a day-long celebration to ring in the holidays presented by the City and the Green Cove Springs Lions Club, which provides hearing and seeing services in Clay county.
In addition to the parades, there’s a street fair and business expo best viewed eating barbecue as you walk.
With a wide and varied selection of vendors – from antiques to handmade jewelry and quilts to toymakers – there was plenty see, even if what you needed was a custom-built bat house.
